Getting married is the most important thing in life for most people. It sets the stage where you begin to live life as a provider to your children, and a respected member of society. There are many ways to get married, and many different venues. One way that has been growing in popularity is the winter wedding. When you get married in winter, you can really have a fantastic ceremony. However, there some things you”ll need to consider when planning your winter wedding. That’’s exactly what you are going to learn in this article.
First of all, if you are going to be having the ceremony outdoors, then you need to plan accordingly. Especially your attire. You don”t want to stand there shivering why you give your sacred oaths. Plan on some warm clothes, or at least some warm undergarments, so you don”t freeze to death on your big day.
An ideal situation would be a lovely outdoor location with several fire places spread throughout the venue to give people access to warmth. It will create a wonderful contrast between the warmth of the wedding ceremony, and the winter landscape in the back ground. Of course, if this isn”t possible, you can still get some portable heaters. But real fireplaces, with real fire, is a romantic way to go.
Naturally, you”re going to want to have some winter style foods on your menu. Plenty of hot chocolate, and warm cocktails for those who want them. Hot Toddies are wonderful for this.
It goes without saying that you”re going to need the right flowers to accompany your wedding. Since flowers are different in different seasons, the right flowers will really give your wedding that extra sparkle.
For winter weddings, white and silver and the colors of choice. Avoid the spring colors and summer hues. Stick with white and silver, and you should be fine.
Many weddings pride themselves on what they give to guests. A perfect gift to guests for a winter wedding would be those little snow globes. Get a little bride and groom in the center, and shake it up and you”re good to go. This will help everybody to remember your special day.
When planned right, having a winter wedding can be a wonderful way to celebrate the most important day of your life. Choose the right colors, serve the right food and make sure to have some sources of warmth, and you”ll throw a party that nobody will soon forget.
