You may have thought popping the question was going to be the hardest thing about proposing, though you have probably realized by now that that is the EASY part. You still have to decide what ring to buy her, where to propose to her, how to propose to her, and when to propose to her. Well, first of all, let’’s figure out how to go about choosing the perfect engagement ring.
The first thing you need to decide is what your budget is. It is a good idea to decide this beforehand, because it will help you decide what type of ring you are going to buy her. Most engagement rings are diamonds or stones that look like diamonds. What you get basically depends on the amount of money you want to spend, and the size of stone you want to buy her. A large diamond is incredibly expensive, but a large cubic zirconia stone is quite affordable. If you can”t afford a large diamond, either consider a small diamond ring, or a cubic zirconia ring.

The differences between cubic zirconia and diamonds are both great and small. The price between the two is a huge difference, but in terms of how they look, the difference is quite small. You have to decide what your future wife will want. To do so, try to get some feedback from her whenever you pass by jewelry stores. If she makes any negative comments about cubic zirconia, you”d probably better stay away from them. However, if she shows some interest, then a cubic zirconia engagement ring may be the way to go. You can also try asking her friends and mother, who will often have a good idea of what she will want.

If this is a surprise and you are worried about it being ruined, you are on your own. Try to figure out what kind of woman your future wife is, in terms of what style does she wear? Does she like the flashy, big jewelry that she can show off to everyone? Or does she wear less obvious jewelry and accessories, that are nice and elegant, but not used so much for showing off? These are what will give you the hints on what to buy her.

Last and most importantly, find a jewelry store and a jeweler that you like. They will be very helpful in assisting you with your decision of what to buy. And remember, once you get buy the ring, everything else seems a whole lot easier.
