When you have a party of any sort a large focus is placed on the party itself. And while it is important to plan out for the actual party its also important to remember the “small” things such as the invitations. With most other celebrations you can just nonchalantly tell someone they are invited pr they automatically know they are invited.

But with bridal showers there is a specific “etiquette” that should be used and invitation then become the main part of the process. If you are in charge of the invitations, don”t freak out! This can be a very simple and fun process for you and you are in charge of one of the main responsibilities.

One thing you need to remember is that this isn”t like with Thanksgiving dinner where you can just send out the invitation’’s a few days beforehand, you will need to instead send out invitations a few weeks beforehand so that everyone will be well aware that they are invited and they can make special plans to make sure they clear their day.

A good rule of thumb is four weeks prior to the bridal shower. The invited guests will have to receive their bridal shower invitations in time to ensure that they have the event marked down in their schedule.

Before picking out the actual invitations you will have to decide on a theme for the party.

The theme itself is important not only because of the invitation “type” but also because of the games and activities that will be included in the party. The theme of the party will then help you pick out what type of invitations to choose from.

For example, if you are choosing to have a beach themed party then you will want to have beach themed favors and invitations like flip flop coasters, wine charms that are beach themed, starfish wine bottle openers and a cute little design on the inside or outside of the invitation that is beach themed as well! In order to pick a theme you should go with what the bride loves.

If she loves fun in the sun and the color blue then that is what you should design the party and invitations around. For the most part the maid of honor will know the bride well enough to where she will be able to predict what kind of shower the bride will want as well as the best theme and best invitations. Once you have the theme picked out and the invitations sent out and that is left to do is have the best darn party you can have!
