Beach Weddings: Three Major Obstacles Part 1

Every bride would love to have a beach wedding. However, the planning can be challenging. You have to face three main obstacles when planning a beach wedding: Mother Nature, beach, and guests.
Mother Nature can determine the success of this wonderful occasion. If you hold the wedding indoor, you don’t have to worry about the weather. However, you can’t predict the condition of the weather on the beach even with a weather forecast. It is beyond your control. You need to study the pattern of the weather on the selected beach. Check off the rainy and dry months. You may need a contingency plan in case it rains such as preparation of tents or arrangement of a new location. In addition, take note of the hurricane season especially if your location is on the east coast.
You need to check out the tides. It may seem romantic to you when the tides come in. However, it can be a chaos when the waves begin to wet your guests’ shoes. Make sure you plan your wedding at a certain part of a beach that is not affected by the tides.
Insects can a problem too. Makes sure the beach is free from bugs and mosquitoes. Alternatively, you can place some insect repellents that are friendly to the nature.
Some beaches look marvelous at sunset but at other times, glaring or strange odors may arise. Therefore, the time of day is crucial in the planning of the beach wedding.
We will discuss about the beach and guests in the next post
