Memorable Wedding Traditions

Do you recall the sound of wedding bells? Which is the most memorable wedding tradition that you can remember? Every wedding I attend will follow a unique tradition.
If you attend any wedding, you are likely to dance. The bride will dance with her father then follow by the dance of newly married couple. In some traditions, they choose their own dancing song. In the Jewish traditional wedding, the guests will dance in a circle around the newly wedded couple.
Tossing the bouquet is common in most wedding. The bride throws her bouquet to the group of single women. A friend told me that whoever receives the bouquet would be the next one in the line to get married. Silly, isn’t? Well, that is what we call tradition. In the recent weddings I attended, I noticed that the groom threw his bride’s garter to a bunch of bachelors. Probably someone wants to create a new tradition.
When it comes to the wedding cake, traditionally most couples will keep the top layer for them to eat during the first anniversary. I wonder how many will eat that cake! Cutting cake is another tradition where each partner will feed the other with the first bite. In some occasions, one of them turns to be naughty by filling their spouse’s face with the cake.
Do you take pictures when you attend the wedding? You can capture some memorable moments. For instance, the wedding in South usually have a cake made especially for the groom. The decoration on the cake reflects his hobby or interest. You can collect photos of wedding cakes of unique designs.
You also can catch some funny moments. In one situation, a friend of mine takes the garnishing from the serving table and uses them to make a smiley faceplate. He then asks me to take a picture of him together with the newly wedded couple.
I hope you enjoy my first posting. Always remember that wedding can be an unforgettable moment.
